Today , i am at work, but on the field. I usually work with my collegue, whenever i schedule meetings with the Co-operatives. Today i have a meeting with a Credit Union Co-operative Society. The day is smoothe so far, in terms of us getting agreements signed. I noticed though that unemployment among the youth is extremely high in my country. The kids have many responsibilities from young such as raising a household and paying bills. Many are not aware of honest means to self sufficiency.
Information and technological development has modernized and increased the pace of life and business throughout the world, customers do not prefer to wait and their tastes and preferences have changed, expectations have increased. Due to unemployment, thousands of educated youth have lost their confidence and future. They have registered their names in the employment exchanges and waiting for their turn to come. The precious Human Resources of the youth are wasted. To tap and utilize talent and capability and earn for their livelihood, the co-operative courier was organised.
I have heard many stories being told about ten fingers and their importance. My own understanding of the fingers is basically on cooperation which I will like to look at in different dimentions. Above all my focus will be on how ten fingers of Africans can be used to Cooperate Out Of Poverty.
I tried to do something important through my two fingers but this could not be achieved untill five fingers of one hand are involved.
I also tried to carry my seven year old duaghter with one hand I could not do this conveniently until I appllied the second hand (Ten fingers together).
Yes it is possible for you to do somethings alone and succeed but not the issue of employment generation in Africa. I am of the opinion that Africa has resourceful and purposeful youth if when come together can achieve alot for the continent and the world over.
