Blaze which destroyed an Oakham Co-op supermarket.
More than 50 firefighters fought the blaze at the Co-operative superstore and Co-op Travel in Burley Road just after midnight on Tuesday.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but Leicestershire Police and Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service are working together to determine the cause.

The current legal cases against cooperatives before the European Commission are attempts by private companies to challenge national co-operative laws and tax regimes. It is another example of our competitors attempting to reduce consumers’ choice, to steal our market share and to end our ethical challenge.
